Garena To Sub-Divide Shells

To all our dear, beloved Garena users – we have an exciting announcement to make!

Garena is sub-dividing our online currency Garena Shells to provide a better service to our valued customers (that’s you). This new sub-division would change each existing Garena Shell into 10 new Garena Shells. The planned sub-division is to take effect around the middle of October 2010. The confirmed date will be announced later.

For existing Garena Shells balance in your Garena account, they will automatically be multiplied by 10 on the date of the sub-division.

For prepaid cards bought in the current Shells amount which have not been redeemed at our site (payment.garena.com) on or before the sub-division date can still be used after the sub-division. The Shells amount equivalent of 10 times the amount shown on the original prepaid card will be credited to the user’s account upon redemption.

Following the sub-division, sales of Garena Shells through prepaid cards or any other payment gateways will be based on the new Garena Shells value.

This planned sub-division would have very little, if any, impact on you except for the fact that it opens up a wider range of purchase options for Garena’s various memberships, micro-transactions and in-game items.
